Professorliu took birth first introduced herself recently published in natureZiKan and a paper on the Advances in Genetics, "published twobooks, as a starting point about his with Mr Qian and Mr Zhou Zhaojiacademic exchanges and the ways in which the academic circles carriedout under everybody's encouragement, care, support the study of plantgraft hybridization problem. In 1991, academician qian xuesenattached great importance to the paper on the origin and achievementsof grafting techniques in China, which was read by Mr. Zhou zhaoji atthe first international academic symposium on agriculturalarchaeology, and proposed the science of plant grafting reform in hisletter to the journal of plant physiology communications. With thequestion of qian Lao, professor liu, under the encouragement andguidance of Mr. Zhou zhaoji, consulted a lot of literature ongrafting, and found that grafting technology is indeed widely used inplant cultivation and production and many other aspects. Engenderedintense interest and research in grafting, especially in graftinghybridization.


Second,professor liu as we combed the Darwin first proposed the concept of agraft hybridization, and graft hybridization debate about thedevelopment of academic history of graft hybridization, and how theiraccess to a large number of ancient and modern, Chinese and foreignliterature, consult relevant experts and scholars at home and abroadto write and use a variety of test materials, graft hybridizationhands on test methods such as graft hybridization of academicresearch. Through the research, professor liu pointed out that:evolution and genetic theory is Darwin's two important theories,evolution is well known. But his theory of heredity, which took himnearly 28 years to develop, was so wrong that many people did notknow that Darwin had a theory of heredity. Professor liu sorts outthe historical development of Darwin's genetic theory from severalaspects, such as the key points of Darwin's genetic theory, theinfluence of the theory of pan-genesis on other genetic theories andwhy Darwin's theory of pan-genesis is regarded as wrong. Based on theresearch results and advances, the paper puts forward the rediscoveryof Darwin's genetic theory.


In the end, professor liu recalled the ups and downs of his academicresearch process based on his own experience of submitting papers formany times, and expressed his deep gratitude to his mentor Mr. Zhouzhaoji and other predecessors for their encouragement. During thelecture, professor liu mentioned many times after himself in theprocess of scientific research to explore with LouCheng academician,Liang Zhenglan professor, professor Li Fan, former vice President ofthe royal society, geneticists and embryos, Cambridge biologist AnneMcLaren way communication scholars, predecessors by letters and soon, by the scholars greatly encourage and help, and also encouragethe students learning process should consult with multidirectionalmodestly predecessors.

Mr.Zhou zhaoji commented on the lecture according to his own experienceand perception of scientific research. He believed that professor liupersisted in experiments under difficult conditions, and it was hispersistence that made the seeds of scientific research he plantedbear fruit. Mr. Zhou encouraged all the young students present hereto relax, seize the time of postgraduate study, read more valuableancient books in the institute, consult with your predecessors withan open mind, and maintain a thirst for knowledge.
