Researcher Tao Yuanke from the Guangdong Provincial Social Science Association came to give lectures in our college

  Onthe afternoon of March 13 (Monday), our school was fortunate toinvite Dr. Tao Yuanke, a researcher of the Provincial Social ScienceAssociation and an associate editor of "Academic Research",to hold the theme "Learning from the Style of Literature""This is the first lecture invited by our school to alinguistics expert. This lecture was chaired by Wang Ying, thedirector of the Chinese Department. Teachers such as Dean YangNailiang, Yang Xiaowei, Li Guiqin, Chen Baoju and others attended thelecture.


      


    Inthe lecture, Dr. Tao Yuanke first explained from the perspective ofliterature to everyone what the style is. Then it explained how tounderstand the style from multiple levels of words, rhetoric, rhyme,prose and prose. During the lecture, Dr. Tao also gave some examplesof complex knowledge points, and the thorough explanation deeplyattracted the audience. At the end of the lecture, Dr. Taorecommended the bibliography for the study of stylistics and analyzedthe current research status of stylistics in the academic world.



    Atthe end of the lecture, teacher Wang Ying summarized and expressedhis gratitude to Dr. Tao Yuanke, and also called on students to learnDr. Tao's modest and rigorous academic attitude. Dr. Tao's speechbroadened the knowledge of Chinese scholars and stimulated students'enthusiasm for learning Chinese language and literature.


    Dr.Tao Yuanke is a researcher of the Guangdong Federation of SocialSciences, and is the deputy editor and editor of the Journal ofAcademic Research. Standing member of the 3rd and 4th BilingualDictionary Professional Committee of the Chinese LexicographicSociety, and member of the 10th Guangdong Provincial Committee of theChinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Instructor ofexternal master students in Dictionary Research Center of GuangdongUniversity of Foreign Studies. Has published two individual academicmonographs, "Lexeme and Interpretation" and "ThesaurusPatterns Established on Optional Interrelations", and publishedmore than 70 academic papers. Personal paper "Interpretation ofLanguage Differences, Non-Language Differences and Cultural Meaningsin Chinese-English Dictionaries", won the Outstanding PaperAward of the Fifth National Bilingual Dictionary Symposium issued bythe Bilingual Dictionary Professional Committee of the ChineseLexicographic Society in 2003; "Language Resources of MacaoSociety", won the Nomination Award for the Outstanding SocialScience Achievement Award of the First Macao Foundation and theGuangdong Provincial Federation of Social Sciences in 2005; "Analysisof the Diversion and Development of Comprehensive Social ScienceJournals and Comprehensive Social Science Newspapers inUniversities", won 2006 The first prize of the paper evaluationin the Development Forum of China University Social Science News.
